Will layouts created in Antville work on Twoday & vice versa?

Yes, for the most part. Importing Antville-skins to Twoday is no problem at all*. Since Twoday added a few custom skins of their own choice, you will get an error message when you activate Twoday-layouts on an Antville-site. (The error message tells you what part of the layout is not available, so you can easily remove the references from the main skin.)

  • Things are changing all the time... and since twoday is in some parts developing "away" from the original antville, importing these layouts to twoday is not that easy anymore. However, it is possible, if you do the import based on a twoday layout (instead of choosing "full import). There are still some problems, though.

And second question: If they do work on Blogger.de, how do I import them into Blogger. Is there an ftp path or do I open them in notepad and copy paste various skins. Sorry about this but this is still very new to me. Thank you in advance and what a brilliant idea.

seems that blogger.de hasn't been upgraded to 1.1 (yet?). As long, as it isn't, you won't be able to use those layouts - at least, not easily.

OK. Thanks, so I can stop trying to find out where to tweak it. But on a different note: If I want to change it lateron, how would I import the layouts into an (upgraded) antville version? Do I replace a story and import it somewhere or other? Do I copy paste files individually? And if that question is really ignorant because it touches upon the basics and/or this place is not the right place to ask such kind of questions - do you have any idea where I can find such information? Is there a forum/book/does self html deal with it in some chapter or other? Thanks again. As I said. I apologise. But this is all really new to me.

Once blogger.de will be upgraded to antville 1.1, the import feature will be either self-explicant or explained on hilfe.blogger.de.

You will be able to import the whole zip-file at once, like uploading an image.

Full Twoday-layouts

can cause severe trouble on Antville-sites.

Someone not so familiar with the skins should take the "stylesheet" and the "main page" skin that has to be tweaked only. (e.g. the [Macro not allowed in sandbox: site.navigation] -macro is deprecated, the formatting misses sophistication, [Macro not allowed in sandbox: modToolbar] will be of no value...)
